We teach foreign language just as any child would learn their own mother tongue: through Total Physical Response and Acquisition.
Children learn most naturally by physically having to respond to their teacher. For example, as we teach our babies to give us a kiss, we kiss them. By connecting the physical action to the concept, a child learns the new word. Babies and children also learn language one utterance, approximation, word and sentence at a time. They acquire language bit by bit.
At Polly-Glot Tots, we have integrated this established methodology into our own proven formula for foreign language learning in a classroom environment for different age groups.
We use a variety of developmentally age-appropriate activities to introduce new themes and words. Games, music, crafts, stories and dance are featured in all of our classes to create an interactive and fun learning process!
